Deacon Blue 25th Anniversary Tour Liverpool Echo Arena
Deacon Blue played the Echo once again, i’m not an avid follower but my husband sister and brother-in -law absolutely adore them, but not to the extent that any of the had purchased the latest album Hipsters.
So on the friday night I downloaded off i-tunes and we let it run through a couple of times, this was an excellent idea as not as we have assumed would the concert be full of great old hits but the majority were new ones off the album… why?
I got the feeling most of the audience had the same assumption.
Deacon Blue played excellently and sang beautifully but the acoustics were shot to pieces as the stage had been bought forward by two sections and it knocked the edge off the sound.
Brilliant still, classic.
